Now Meta is going to record and steal how their employee’s work: Meta Installing Software on Employee Computers to Track Everything They Do, Feed the Data to AI
This is just the latest frontier of data that companies will collect and commoditize so they generate another revenue stream.
Watch how many others jump on the bandwagon.
And yet, no employee ever negotiated on this additional value they were providing the company. I’m not even sure, depending on the arrangement, how this would work.
Oh to be a fly on the wall when this question was asked of Meta’s legal team.
Pretty soon, everyone will be stealing the keyboard, mouse, and screen IP of their employees, turning it into a product, and then selling it away without any regard for the employee’s dignity, privacy, or intellectual property rights.
Hell. This will probably convince many of them to keep the data in house and train their own models.
It’s similar to the scalpers of failed startups selling their emails and Slack messages.
